This thieves cleaning paste is an affordable, homemade, non-toxic, recipe that removes tough grime, grease and even rust. It’s a non-toxic replacement for harsh cleaners like bar keepers friend.
We have a white sink and I cook and bake all the time – which means that it’s fairly difficult to keep it sparkly clean.
The cleaner I used to use to get rid of marks and grime on our sink was highly volatile. I couldn’t even handle it with bare hands without drying them.
So, I created this non-toxic thieves cleaning paste that removes tough grease, grime and even rust. I use it on our sinks, in our bathroom, stove, etc.
I put it to the ultimate test by using it to remove rust from our stainless steal sink in the homeschool room. One of my kids left paint brushes in the sink for weeks, which left me with rust stains.
The stains were there for almost two months, and even my cleaner couldn’t remove them. So I took out my thieves cleaning paste and it removed every bit of the rust completely. That was when I knew I had created something amazing.
It is also gentle on the skin while being tough on rust and grease. I can use it with my bare hands and not worry about destroying my skin!

The Thieves Difference
I use Thieves to clean just about every surface in my home (check out this All-Purpose Thieves Cleaner Spray). I love it because it’s made with thieves essential oil, which is a blend of clove, cinnamon bark, rosemary, lemon, and eucalyptus. All of which are some of the best oils for cleaning. Thieves is:
- Non- toxic
- Phthalate-free.
- Fragrance free.
- Made with biodegradable ingredients derived from plant starch, coconuts, etc.
I use one bottle of Thieves concentrate to make many different cleaning supplies. I use them every day, including this thieves cleaning paste.
