Not sure if this has been asked before, but here goes..

I’ve made these with American butter and they come out absolutely perfectly. Rave reviews! However, I have found, in general, that using kerrygold butter makes for baked goods that are a step above. When trying this recipe with kerrygold, I find the dough is stickier (likely due to the higher fat content since American butter is waterier) but adding flour to fix it results in cookies that I can taste the flour in. Any advice on how to get a better, less sticky dough without adding too much additional flour?

These are INCREDIBLE! They roll and cut easily and are absolutely delicious. I added 1/4 tsp almond extract to the cookies and the icing and they were my favorite sugar cookies I’ve ever made!!

These are the absolute best cookies. I’m a teacher and just baked 4 batches for my picky high school students for Valentine’s Day, and they are RAVING about them and want to come back to my classroom at the end of the day to see if there are any extras. I think I’ve found the perfect sugar cookie recipe – thank you!

My granddaughter,Ashlynn 14, and I are going to attempt to make your cookies for Valentine’s Day. She has enjoyed cooking with me and making crafts since she was about 2. It’s one of the things I love doing with her. My grandson use to enjoy these things as well but with getting older it just isn’t fun for him anymore. I’ll let you know how our Valentine’s cookies turn out, we make even make Easter cookies.

I am not one to leave many reviews but this recipe is definitely deserving of one. I saw 5 out 5 stars and thought to myself could that even be possible? It IS possible and this recipe proves it! This has been the absolute best sugar cookie and icing recipe I’ve ever found and has become my go to after only the first time trying it!! Thank you so much for sharing it.

Hi, I am planning my kid’s birthday party and want to do cooking decorations.
You mentioned that we need to let the front chill but they can still eating before then, correct?
Could I make the frosting 24 hours before?
If so, how good you keep it fresh?

Do you have any recommendations or tips to share, I will work with 3-7 years kids.
